ALL ABOUT IESHA MARIE

Where It All Began

Iesha Marie began her journey playing her guitar when she was 14 years old. Her first inspiration, The Runaways, were introduced to her by her beloved aunt. From that moment, Iesha began teaching herself how to play guitar as well as beginning to write.

Her musical influences were acquired from her grandparents. Her grandfather listened to the likes of Dean Martin, Elvis, and the Beach Boys. Her grandmother introduced her to the talent of Whitney Houston and Tina Turner. Iesha’s mother completed her musical influences with rock bands such as Quiet Riot, Alice Cooper, and Pat Benatar.

Once introduced to Amy Winehouse, Iesha Marie discovered the perfect outlet for her passionate lyrics about her adversities and relationships. In late 2014, Iesha sang for this first time in public at Little Fish HUGE Pond’s Open Mic Night hosted by Chuck Culbertson. From Little Fish, Iesha began expanding her open mic night attendance to West End Trading Company, and Celery City Craft.

Iesha Marie has grown into a local staple over the years with weekly performances at Celery City Craft every Sunday and at West End Trading Company on Saturdays. Iesha Marie has played for many different events— a few weddings, street festivals & markets, and even a book signing! She continues to expand her coverage of venues as well as her selection of songs in her soulful, passionate flair.
